THE OAKLAND FENCE PROJECT IS AN OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY INSTALLATION AND ONLINE EXHIBIT DESIGNED TO CONNECT ARTISTS AND COMMUNITIES IN A WHOLE NEW WAY.
Imagine a 1000-foot chainlink fence at Jack London Square (and in neighborhoods all around the city) lined with dramatic 6-foot tall pictures taken by Oakland photographers, augmented with video by Oakland filmmakers, powered by technology coded by Oakland developers.
Simply run this app and point the live camera view at any of the 6 foot tall pictures around Oakland. You will get a magical transition to a short video with more information about that image and a link to a website where you can find more information.
Let’s ignite some urban renewal, Oakland-style.
